Briarcliffe College - Bethpage offers professional educational programs in selected fields of business, technology, and graphic design at the diploma, associate, specialized associate, and baccalaureate levels to a diverse body of traditional and non-traditional students.

Information Technology Applied Computer Programming
The Applied Computer Programming concentration is designed to prepare graduates to enter the work force as IT professionals with a special emphasis in programming, and leading to careers opportunities in programming and software engineering, database development and administration, technical support, and technical writing. The concentration includes courses in LAN and WAN software, hardware, interoperability and design. Core courses are designed to provide students with a foundation in other areas including web server administration, programming database application, and microcomputers systems. Special emphasis is placed on programming and database applications. The programming language sequence includes modern object-oriented programming languages such as Visual Basic, JAVA, and C++.

Information Technology Computer Networking and Telecommunications
The Computer Networking and Telecommunications concentration is designed to prepare graduates to enter the workforce as networking or telecommunications professionals with special emphasis in network design and administration, telecommunications management and equipment repair, enterprise systems management, web administration, technical support, and technical writing. It includes a broad range of technologies including telephone and cable, data communications, wireless communications systems, and satellite and internet technologies. Criminal Justice
The Associate of Science degree in Criminal Justice is designed to provide students with a broad introduction to the field of criminal justice and enable them to pursue an entry-level position in the field of protective services or to pursue more advanced study at the baccalaureate level. The Criminal Justice curriculum offers a balance of theory and application that can prove challenging to students and useful in the field. As with most fields, computers have become an important part of criminal justice practice; therefore, the Briarcliffe Criminal Justice program provides valuable experience using computers.
This criminal justice program can enable students to explore and prepare for career opportunities in policing, private investigation, corrections, probation and parole, private protective security, or as providers of security to firms concerned with incidences of computer crime. The Criminal Justice curriculum has been purposefully designed to provide sufficient breadth and depth, giving students a solid core of courses in the discipline and allowing the exploration of one or more specialty areas that would deliver knowledge appropriate to their Criminal Justice career aspirations. Students in the Criminal Justice program should be aware that additional education may be required for employment in some positions.
