This program is designed to provide students with the appropriate
general education, theory, and hands-on skills required for
building and/or enhancing a career in business administration.

Healthcare Administration
The objective of this program is to provide students with
the appropriate general education, theory, and hands-on-skills

The purpose of the program is to provide the student with

associate's degree program in allied health; and also provides
the graduate with the specific skills necessary to work in

The objective of this program is to provide students with

Business Administration
With concentrations in:
• Management
• Marketing and Sales
• Accounting
The primary objective of this program is to provide students
with the appropriate general education, business theory, and
hands-on skill needed to begin a career in accounting, business
management, or sales and marketing. Students are required
to complete course work in areas such as accounting, investments,
small business management and similar business courses. In
addition students are required to complete courses work in
specialized area of choice: business management, marketing
and sales, or accounting. The programs' courses are intended
to prepare student for entry-level jobs in:
• Accounting/Finance departments
• Payroll preparation/management
• Small department management
• Marketing or Sales

Criminal Justice
This program can prepare students to enter into the criminal
justice profession in a variety of first-tier positions. Students
of the program are exposed to the foundational areas of the
discipline: investigation and law enforcement, law and courts,
and corrections and parole. The program also addresses the
juvenile delinquency and the juvenile justice system.
Students in the Criminal Justice program should be aware
that additional education and/or experience may be required
for employment in some positions.

Health Information Technology
This program can provide students with the appropriate general
education, theory, and hands-on skills required and necessary
for starting, maintaining, and growing in a chosen Health
Information Technology career. Students should be prepared
to function in a variety of medical facilities with the option
of several chosen fields of expertise. The courses in this
program are designed to prepare students for entry-level jobs
that may involve:
• Structure and analysis of healthcare data
• Coding and indexing of information
• Management of retention and reimbursement systems
for health insurance claims
• File analysis and management, healthcare statistics
and health record evaluation
• Verbal and written communication with other healthcare
professionals

Network Administration
This program is designed to provide students with a foundation
in computer networks including Local Area Networks (LANs)
and Wide Area Networks (WANs) with a focus on the Microsoft
and LINUX platforms. Networking skills are taught and students
are prepared for the Microsoft Certified Sytems Administrator
(MCSA) credential. Additionally, the general education component
provides an academic basis for career and personal growth.
The courses in this program are designed to prepare students
for entry-level jobs that may involve:
• Troubleshooting problems involving involving computer
networks
• Installing and configuring computer networks
• Maintaining and upgrading network hardware and software
Integrating multiple operating system platforms on a network
• Administering e-mail and web services
• Building and repairing computer hardware
Upon successful completion of this program, students will
have been exposed to the topics typically found on the: Microsoft
Certified Engineer (MCSE), A+, Network +, Certified Network
Administrator (CNA), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP),
and the Certified Novell Engineering (CNE) examinations. *

Radiography
This program is designed to provide students with a foundation
in implementing radiographic procedures, radiation protection,
and radiological physics, image production and evaluation
of radiographs. These procedures are conducted in a caring,
safe, effective, and legal manner. The student should learn
to work effectively with other healthcare professionals, patients,
and families to promote patient diagnosis and recovery. The
courses are designed to prepare students for entry-level jobs
that may involve:
• Emergency procedures using energized radiographic
units
• Positioning patients and processing film
• Patient interaction and vital sign administration
• Surgical asepsis
• Verbal and written communication with other healthcare
professionals
Upon successful completion of the program, the student is
eligible to sit for The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist
radiography examination. Registration or certification requirements
for taking and passing exams are not controlled by the school
but by outside agencies and are subject to change without
notice to the school. The school cannot guarantee that graduates
will be eligible to take certification exams, regardless of
the eligibility status upon enrollment.

Surgical Technology
This exciting program can provide the students with entry-level
skills to assist physicians in pre-operative and post-operative
care of the surgical patient in an operating room environment.
The comprehensive program is also well weighted with practical
learning. Both day and evening programs include a full-time,
unpaid clinical externship. The programs'' courses are designed
to prepare students for entry-level jobs that may involve:
• Patient preparation and interaction
• Providing physical and emotional support to patients
• Operating sterilizers and diagnostic equipment
• Selecting and opening sterile supplies, such as drapes,
sutures, sponges and surgical instruments
• Interacting with physicians, physician assistants,
and other operating room personnel
Surgical technologists, also called surgical or operating
room technicians, typically work in hospital operating rooms,
surgeons offices, delivery rooms, cast rooms, emergency departments,
ambulatory care areas, surgi-centers and central supply departments.
They help set up the operating room with surgical instruments,
equipment, and sterile solutions. They also prepare patients
for surgery by washing, shaving and disinfecting incision
sites. They transport patients to the operating room, help
position them on the operating table and cover them with sterile
surgical --drapes--. Technologists also observe patients''
vital signs, check charts and helps the surgical team scrub
and put on gloves, gowns and masks. Many surgical technologists
are required to be --on call--.

Medical Assistant
This program is designed to prepare the graduate to perform
various technical and administrative skills in order to function
as a member of a health care team in various settings. The
student develops skills in phlebotomy, electrocardiograms,
medication administration, minor surgical techniques, emergency
medical procedures and office procedures. The courses are
designed to prepare students for entry-level jobs that may
involve:
• Patient Preparation, blood work and lab work
• Vital sign, CPR and first aid administration
• Administrative duties
• Medical records management
• Billing/coding
Upon successful completion of the program, the student is
eligible to take the American Medical Technologists Registered
Medical Assistant Exam (RMA). This nationally recognized certification
entitles AMT-registered medical assistants to affiliate with
that organization. Registration or certification requirements
for taking and passing exams are not controlled by the school
but by outside agencies and are subject to change without
notice to the school. The school cannot guarantee that graduates
will be eligible to take certification exams, regardless of
the eligibility status upon enrollment.
Another credential which graduates may desire to obtain is
the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) offered by the American
Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).

Accelerated CCNA
This course requires successful completion of the Cisco 1
and Cisco 2 modules. A base knowledge of networking fundamentals
is required for entrance into the Accelerated Cisco Academy
program. Through lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and
laboratory exercises, students are given information sufficient
to identify and configure the best Cisco solutions for small
to medium-sized businesses. Students perform all basic configuration
procedures to build a multi-protocol internetwork that uses
LAN and WAN interfaces for the most commonly used routing
and routed protocols. This course will provide the installation,
configuration, and troubleshooting information that technical
support people require to install and configure Cisco products.
The programs' courses are designed to prepare students for
entry-level jobs that may involve:
• Install routers and switches
• Configure and update routers and switches
• Troubleshoot wide area and intra-office connectivity
• Optimize performance of network hardware

Networking Specialist
This program can prepare network professionals to function
as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineers (MCSE) and is designed
to help prepare for the Microsoft certification examinations.
Courses are designed to provide essential skills and hands-on
experience necessary to plan, implement, maintain, and support
information systems using the Microsoft Windows NT® family
of server and backoffice products.The programs' courses are
designed to prepare students for entry-level jobs that may
involve:
• Troubleshooting problems involving computer networks
• Maintaining and upgrading network hardware and software
