Academy of Design and Technology help to prepare students
interested in Fashion or technology industry positions by
providing quality professional instruction in a practical
and modern facility.
Located at 5959 Lake Ellenor Drive, Orlando, Fl. 32809,
the Orlando campus has been in operation since August 2000
and is convenient to all Central Florida attractions including
Walt Disney and Universal Studios. Over 600 students are currently
studying in the Associates of Science and the Bachelor of
Fine Arts degree programs. These students enjoy many benefits
such as academic advising, tutoring, flex scheduling options
and job placement assistance as part of student services.
Financial Aid is available for those who qualify. Scholarships
opportunities are also available.

Computer Graphics
Computer technology has enabled the graphic designer of today to reach out to consumers with a level of creativity and efficiency unheard of a few decades ago. Businesses use promotional materials, catalogs, and advertisements to peak the interest of their customers. The Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Computer Graphics helps prepare future designers to fill the demands of an increasingly visually oriented audience. The computer graphics curriculum balances the principles of advertising and design with advanced training in technology and production. Students can gain a strong understanding of industry standard software packages while mastering the various steps of design from the creative spark to the final product. All course work is created to simulate real-world projects suitable for inclusion in a professional portfolio. General education courses help prepare students to compete in the workforce by strengthening communication and critical thinking skills.

Fashion Design and Merchandising
The International Academy's program in fashion design and merchandising is demanding, technical, and comprehensive. Students can learn about fashion illustration, pattern drafting, design, draping, clothing construction, textiles, fashion history, fashion merchandising, and production techniques. The program also focuses on the global fashion and merchandising industry focusing on market and trend research, design development, visual displays, sales and business practices and production management. All of the instruction is presented using industrial grade equipment in spacious and comfortable facilities built for optimum fashion designing. A balanced curriculum can provide students with the expertise to design and communicate their ideas combining theoretical elements of design with creative and practical approaches to the solution of problems pertaining to the functional quality of marketable products. A foundation in general education coursework rounds out the student's knowledge base.

Interior Design
The Interior Design program is designed to prepare students
for professional opportunities in the field of interior design
in order to enhance the function, quality and safety of interior
spaces. The interior design program attracts students who
want to be challenged both creatively and technically, people
who have aesthetic sensitivity and who understand the importance
of using space effectively and efficiently.
The student is guided through a balanced curriculum that
can provides him/her with the expertise to design and communicate
his/her ideas. Competencies in theoretical aspects are developed
to expand the student's intellectual discipline. Creativity
is challenged as the student experiments with form, space,
texture and color. The student is taught to analyze and evaluate
situations, to project and test solutions and to refine and
communicate these solutions. They become motivators of appropriate
social behavior, drawing on historic and cultural influences
to enrich their responses to the design problem. A design
philosophy integrated with an internationalistic influence
("global awareness") is fostered. Focus on a forward-looking
holistic view of society is encouraged. Design solutions are
then tested against a backdrop of knowledge acquired from
codes and laws with attention given to the preparation of
technical drawings and contracts. Skills such as drafting,
computer-aided drawing and rendering should be mastered in
order to provide final design recommendations and vehicles
for the estimation and execution of the work. The quantities,
cost and appropriate application and use of furniture and
materials is studied to enable the student to address the
aesthetic, functional and economic needs of the client.

Multimedia Design
Businesses understand the power of reaching consumers on more than one level, which is why they invest in glossy four-color catalogs, interactive web pages, and animation-rich CDs. The Bachelor of Fine Arts program in Multimedia Design can train students in a broad range of areas-web design, print media, 3-D modeling and animation, and digital audio and video production-giving them the edge of versatility.
All coursework is created to simulate real-world projects suitable for inclusion in a professional portfolio. Special emphasis is placed on the effective integration of sight and sound and the process of creating multimedia presentations from storyboarding techniques to final delivery. General education courses help prepare students to compete in the workforce by strengthening communication and critical thinking skills.

Network Design & Administration
Advances in networking technologies have created an increasing need for companies to hire professionals educated in the Information Technology field. As a result of these advances, career opportunities in Network Administration have shown promising growth.
The Bachelor of Science Degree in Network Design & Administration can teach students the skills needed to design, build, and maintain Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs). Students can learn how to set-up and manage high performance computer networks using industry-current networking tools including security firewalls, email and Web servers, and more. Students can also receive training in wireless administration, network security, and project management, in addition to a variety of current technologies including Cisco, Microsoft, UNIX, and Linux. Hands-on experience is provided to our students through extensive lab time in each technology-related course.
This hands-on training is a valuable aspect of the program because it can help graduates successfully make the transition from the classroom to the workplace. IADT graduates are trained to enjoy a wide range of employment opportunities and career paths.

Computer Graphics
The Computer Graphics curriculum balances the fundamentals of advertising and design with training in technology in order to offer students a well-rounded comprehensive course of study. The objective of the program is to provide students with the skills necessary to function as a graphic designer, package/product designer, marketing/advertising designer, illustrator or media designer. The program is designed to provide an education for creative people focusing on the use of electronic technology while incorporating the basic theories of advertising, layout, type, color and illustration. This combination of conventional and electronic techniques plus a foundation of general education coursework offers students a balanced and well-rounded knowledge base essential to successfully perform and communicate in this industry.
