Collins College was formerly known as Al Collins Graphic
Design School. Prior to 1997, Al Collins Graphic Design School
emphasized programs in the Visual Communication fields of
study, such as graphic design, digital video, computer graphics,
and computer animation. Since 1997, programs in Information
Technology fields have been implemented, as well as programs
in Media Arts and Game Design. The new name better reflects
our present and future program offerings.
Collins College in Arizona is committed to the technical
training, development, and preparation necessary for our graduates
to succeed in the areas of Visual Communication, Animation
(such as 3d animation), Personal Computer Network Technology,
Web Design, Game Design and Media Arts. Our school lays the
foundation for a successful educational experience with industry-current
equipment, an experienced and dedicated staff, and a curriculum
that is continually reviewed by our active Advisory Committee.

Animation
Animation is an artful blend of creative vision and technology.
Computer animators work in 3-D, bringing their characters
and imagination to life through realistic subtleties and motion.
You can learn how to cultivate a critical thought process
as it relates to space and time. First, you can develop drawing
and rendering skills, and then you can combine them with writing
and storytelling in the digital realm. Finally, you can move
on to advanced character modeling, achieving the skills and
knowledge necessary to enter this exciting field. You can
also graduate with a demo reel that can help you land your
first job.
Computer modeling and animation may be explored through
industry-current programs, such as Alias/Wavefront® Maya™,
Macromedia® Flash™ and discreet® 3ds max™.
Adobe® After Effects® and Premiere® can be part
of the student's experience in post-production.

Fashion Design & Merchandising
Develop a head for business and an eye for fashion design.
Fashion is certainly one of the more glamorous careers - where creating and forecasting trends and attending fashion shows and designer showrooms can be part of your job. Personal style can be your starting point, but you need more than a flair for fashion to make it in this field. You can learn what it takes in our Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design & Merchandising program. It's designed to help you gain the skills - along with the business knowledge - to take your creative ideas all the way from fashion sketch. . . to models on the runway. . . to the real women and men who will purchase them.
Along with learning professional techniques for creating and producing your designs - including fabric and color selection, pattern drafting, draping, garment construction, and tailoring - you'll have the opportunity to learn about fashion publicity and promotion, merchandising practices, store design, and global sourcing. Game Design
Do you want to play or make video games?
Collins College game design school program can offer you
a way to do both! In our Bachelor of Arts Game Design Degree
(BA), our curriculum is designed to equip you with game essentials
like C++®, Java™, 3ds max™ and AI (Artificial
Intelligence) so that you can make your quest-driven concept
a game reality. Your education in Game Design can take you
from game research and planning, character development and
storytelling, all the way through level design, modeling,

Interior Design
The Interior Design program can prepare students for entry-level
positions in the interior design industry. Students are expected
to develop design concepts for interior spaces, and transform

environments that meet client needs. Architectural drafting,
space planning, and computer-aided design are used to develop
new concepts and to refine students' individual skills and
talents. Building systems, regulations, and current business

Media Arts
After successfully completing our associate's degree
program, you can advance your knowledge in the broadcast field
and learn to tell a great story behind the lens of a camera.
This practical, real-world curriculum focuses on the creative,
technical and business aspects of the industry. You'll
explore lighting, audio for video, television studio production
and nonlinear editing. You'll work with industry-current
programs like discreet® flame®, smoke® and combustion®,
and refine your skills on Avid Xpress® and move up to
Avid®|DS HD. All with the goal of cultivating the knowledge,

Associate of Science Degree in Personal Computer/ Network

core classes in personal computer and local area network set-up,
configuration upgrade, diagnosis and repair. These are concepts
and technical skills necessary for entry-level professionals
