In this introduction to a wide range of natural health topics, candidates for the BSNH take their first steps toward either the M.S. in Natural Health or the M.A. in Holistic Wellness degree programs. Subjects covered include introductions to natural health and traditional naturopathy, alternative healing practices, nutrition, herbology, homeopathy, mind/body healing, and three elective courses. In addition, students learn about biology, natural health history, lifestyles, universal energy, homeostasis, and cancer prevention. In completing this program, students discover many strategies for helping themselves and their families stay healthy in addition to gaining the foundation for continuing their studies at a higher level.
The CCNH holistic nutrition programs take into account the effect of foods on body, mind, spirit, and on the earth itself. After learning about the fundamentals of nutrition, students in the B.S. program are introduced to natural health and traditional naturopathy as well as to holistic health and lifestyles, biology, and cancer prevention. Other topics include holistic nutrition, cooking for holistic nutrition, how the diet may influence the state of health, and how it may be used for healing in addition, this program contains four elective courses. By completing this program, students discover many strategies for helping themselves and their families stay healthy In addition to gaining the foundation for continuing their studies at a higher level.
After acquiring foundational knowledge about holistic human development as well as anatomy and physiology, students in the Master of Science program will find intermediate level courses in homeopathy and herbology. In addition, they will be introduced to holistic nutrition and to concepts concerning the extent to which belief may influence the state of a person's health. This program includes three electives and a thesis. Those who prefer may take two additional electives instead of completing the thesis, although this project is an excellent preparation for the dissertation that students will complete at the doctoral level.

In addition, students learn about the history and theories behind traditional naturopathy and the importance of detoxification to maintain health. Students take three general electives plus a fourth elective that must focus on either herbology or one of the sciences. As with the other Clayton College Ph.D. programs, preparatory to the dissertation are courses in research design and current natural health research. All Ph.D. candidates complete a dissertation. Many CCNH graduates practice as natural health consultants. Although not required for the Ph.D. program, students may elect to complete their courses and a practicum designed to assist them in building their skills as practitioners. Many graduates of Clayton College have written books concerning aspects of natural health. CCNH programs offer support for those who wish to improve their writing skills.
