The Animation & Visual Effects Bachelor's Degree is designed to launch students toward a successful career in visual effects for film and television, and emerging applications for 3D visualization and 3D animation.
The Digital Filmmaking program is designed to train students in the fundamental skill set necessary for a career in media production. Students learn to develop and produce motion picture content for any medium which demands storytellers who can express themselves with compelling visuals and sound, such as the big screen, the small screen, handheld devices, the web, video installations, and more.
The Game Art & Design program prepares students for a career in the interactive entertainment industry through immersive training in core-competency areas; which include fine arts, theory, and projects that mirror the professional pipeline production environment of a video game designer.
The Interactive Audio program focuses on interactive audio design and music creation for multimedia devices and video games, as well as adaptive audio tools used for sound implementation in interactive audio platforms. Students learn coding and scripting, as well as sound design for new interactive audio devices such as video games, toys, smart phones, GPS systems and voice recognition technology.
The Motion Graphic Design program provides students with traditional design training in print and web design in addition to learning motion graphic design. Students learn the fundamentals of design like drawing, typography, concept creation, and color theory. Unlike other design schools, Ex'pression takes those design fundamentals and expands them for motion graphics used in music videos, title treatments, and other graphics for broadcast, film, and advertising.
The Sounds Arts program focuses on the principles of audio production, mixing, and recording. Core program instruction includes audio post-production, surround sound, DVD authoring, digital audio workstations, live sound and lighting, studio etiquette and more. Students have the opportunity to take part in recording sessions, experience mixing for CD and online release, posting audio for digital films, and recording live multi-media concerts.
