The Associate of Science Degree in Computer Networking with Emerging Technologies Program provides instruction in various network designs, computer-related equipment, network management, systems and application software. The Surgical Technology program provides students with the technical ability, knowledge, and skills required for entry-level employment as a member of the healthcare team in hospital or surgical center operating rooms. Emergency Medical Services is an Associate of Science Degree program which encompasses two occupational opportunities, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Paramedic. Most students complete this program in units; starting with the EMT-B Diploma Program, then proceeding to the Paramedic Diploma program, and finally completing the additional general education courses required for the Associate of Science Degree in Emergency Medical Services. The EMT-Basic represents the first level of the emergency medical technician system. At the EMT-B level you will train to care for patients at the scene of an accident and while transporting patients by ambulance to the hospital under medical direction. As you progress through the program*, the next level of the emergency medical technician system is the EMT-Paramedic. Paramedics provide the most extensive pre-hospital care.
