Every day, thousands of planes, jets, and helicopters are flown all over the world, and it is the responsibility of airframe and powerplant (A&P) technicians to keep them in safe flying condition. When it comes time to hiring, employers know they can count on Redstone College graduates. If you want a job working with exciting aviation technology, then you should choose our 18-month-long A&P Program*. By the end of your training, you'll have top-notch skills and a diploma or degree — things that you'll need as you pursue your new career in the aviation industry.
 
• Avionics
Today's powerful jets and helicopters don't run on duct tape; they use the very latest technologies. And electronics and avionics professionals are the people who understand, design, and implement these technologies. Our Advanced Electronics Technology Program (Avionics) can be completed in 17 1/2 months and includes focused, hands-on training. You'll work in classrooms, on computers, in labs, and inside a full-size Boeing 727 cockpit to learn how to apply your practical knowledge to the real world. By the end of the program you'll have top-notch skills, an associate of occupational studies degree, and be well on your way to a new career that'll provide you with all the challenges and excitement you're looking for.
