While no career is
recession-proof, massage therapy is pretty close. As its acceptance as a safe and effective therapy for pain and stress grows, job opportunities increase. As a career, massage therapy has this to offer: unlimited demand for good therapists, flexible hours, low on-the-job stress, and great opportunities for self-employment. |
MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy, with campuses in Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta, is often chosen by mature students because the school’s independent study format allows them to fit their training into current work and family schedules.
Students do most of the work by independent study, and attend weekly or monthly tutorials for lectures, demonstrations and hands-on practice. Between tutorials, students work at home, using the school’s materials to guide them. Instructors are available by e-mail.
It is affordable training for a second career: our students keep their day jobs, and rural or out-of-province students don’t have to leave their home town. Even with the cost of commuting, we are a more economical (and family-friendly) choice than regular full-time studies.
The school’s standards of instruction and materials are at the highest level, confirmed by the top marks MH Vicars grads earn in the Alberta and Saskatchewan association entrance exams.
