The Entertainment Industry – movies, TV, video games, music, Web video, cell phone and mobile devices – has been revolutionized by powerful digital audio production tools. Simply owning or operating these complex audio tools is not enough to secure work in Hollywood. Savvy engineers and employers alike realize that Pro Tools training and certification along with professional production techniques and applications are critical to success. The contemporary audio engineer must be able to perform functions that previously required specialists. Sound design, sound effects, voiceover production, and mastering engineering are now bundled with recording, editing and mixing (including Surround Sound) duties. Employers and clients expect a single audio engineer to handle all aspects of audio production.
The well-trained engineer often chooses to work in different Industry segments as opportunities arise. We prepare audio engineers to work in TV, movies, video gaming, and music production. Our Pro Tools Audio Engineering Program provides technical and creative training plus hands-on, real-world studio experience in a working sound facility.
The recommended length for the full-time program is 10 months. It is also available in an evening and weekend part-time program.
