Associate of Applied Science Degree in Accounting
The accounting program is designed to meet the needs of business and industry for qualified entry-level accountants. Students will receive instruction to gain mastery over the principles, methods, procedures, techniques, concepts, and operations of accounting and computerized accounting systems. Students will be introduced to general business concepts and skills as they relate to management, marketing, finance, human resources, and the economies within the market place. |
Computerized Accounting
Computerized Accounting
The Computerized Accounting curriculum is designed to prepare students for entry level computer support roles in business accounting settings and financial services industries. Emphasis is placed on the use of the computer to increase productivity in financial applications, using software such as spreadsheets, accounting packages, and database management systems.

Medical Assisting
Medical Assisting
The Institute's Medical Assisting program has an overall objective to prepare the student for an entry level position in the medical field with an emphasis on back office clinical procedures. Students will learn to perform routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep health care delivery settings running smoothly. Students will be exposed to many administrative duties as well as clinical duties. They will receive instruction on how to greet patients, update and file patient medical records, schedule appointments, and arrange for hospital admission and laboratory services. Clinical duties may vary and include taking medical histories and recording vital signs, blood work, injections, explaining treatment procedures to patients, preparing patients for examination, and assisting the physician during the examination. An externship at the end of the student’s study puts into practice what the student has learned in a real world setting that often leads to employment.

Pharmacy Technician
Pharmacy Technician
The Pharmacy Technician program is designed and built on actual pharmacy technician performance expectations. After an orientation of pharmacy practice students learn the computer’s role in both institutional and retail pharmacy settings. Students learn prescription receipt and screening for completeness and accuracy, medication preparation in sterile and non-sterile environments, supply distribution, purchasing pharmaceuticals, inventory control methods, insurance billing and payment collection, pharmacy calculations, federal and state regulations, pharmacy equipment and maintenance, pharmacy ethics and communicating effectively.

Computer Support & Networking Technology
Computer Support & Networking Technology
This program is designed to prepare students to be qualified entry level Computer Support Technicians and Network Administrators. Graduates are able to repair computers, install, troubleshoot, operate and administer PC based hardware and software. The graduates will have entry level knowledge of PC repair, Windows and Network administration, and be able to provide support for office application programs. Students will learn to troubleshoot Windows systems, perform Network administration and learn about PC support tasks.

Computer Aided Design & Drafting
Computer Aided Design & Drafting
The Institute's CADD Program is designed to prepare students, with no prior drafting or computer experience, to become proficient entry level CADD operators using AutoCAD software. The program covers all of the corresponding 2D CADD functions for traditional drafting, as well as advanced 3D modeling. The student will generate actual CADD work for the preparation of portfolio drawings, in the subject of the individual student's specialty, for use in securing employment in the CADD industry. Special attention is paid to drawing, dimensioning and annotating CADD drawings. CADD simulation techniques and 3D modeling are also covered.

Computer Graphics and Desktop Publishing
Computer Graphics and Desktop Publishing
This program is designed to prepare a student for employment as an entry level Desktop Publisher and Graphic Designer. Basic skills are emphasized in order to prepare the student for the “real world” of electronic publishing, such as newspaper and magazine layout, single page publications, flyers, digital photography, advertising concepts, and business identity. An introduction to web design and web animation are also included to round out the experience.
