A multi-campus urban institution, Bunker Hill Community College is located in the historic Charlestown neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. The college enrolls more than 8,212 students in day, evening, weekend and web-based classes to help students earn one of the 65 associate degree and certificate programs Bunker Hill Community College offers.
The Boston college also has a campus in nearby Chelsea, as well as five satellite campuses in Cambridge, Chinatown, Revere, Somerville and Boston's South End. All these pieces come together to give Bunker Hill Community College's students the skills necessary to transfer to a four-year college or university or immediately enter the workforce upon graduation. Programs include communication, history and government and fire protection and safety.
As one of the largest colleges in Massachusetts community college system, Bunker Hill Community College blends multicultural and international perspectives in its courses, programs and culture. The Boston college boasts students from 90 countries and students of color comprise more than half of the student population, making Bunker Hill Community College one of the more diverse colleges in New England.
As such, the Boston college provides its students with an office of Diversity and Inclusion. The purpose is to ensure that all people who work, attend school and use the college campuses are treated with respect and are able to pursue their educational endeavors without experience incidents of discrimination or undue impediments, barriers or obstacles, the school said.
The Boston college offers its students such services as tutoring, an internship network and support for students with disabilities.
