Central Community College is a multi-campus community college that serves a 25-county area in central Nebraska, providing students with access to 33 career and technical education programs that only take two years to complete.
The Nebraska college is made up of three campuses. The Hasting Campus is located on the site of a former naval ammunition depot and opened in 1966 as Nebraska's first multi-county vocational-technical college. The Columbus Campus opened in 1969 as Nebraska's first county-supported community college and Central Community College's Grand Island Campus was established in 1976. Throughout the years, Central Community College has opened several centers to extend its educational services throughout the area.
Central Community College offers degree and certificate programs in accounting, criminal justice, early childhood education and geography, among others. At this Nebraska college, students can choose to attend classes traditionally on campus, or online. Student services include financial aid, advising and training and development courses.
