Glen Oaks Community College offers 11 associate degree programs in areas including Art, Social Work, and Nursing as well as 19 certificate programs. The school also operates continuing education courses available to the community as well as personalized Ed2Go online courses for working adults. The school's Center for Business Services provides customized training solutions for local firms and writes/administers training grants for companies looking to expand their training programs. The Center also offers up to 100 free business-counseling hours to small businesses and entrepreneurs, free research assistance and low cost seminars/programs for those who are interested in starting their own business or for those who are interested in reorganizing their existing business.

Glen Oaks Community College campus is packed with activities and events to keep students occupied. The school supports a broad array of student organizations including a chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honors fraternity for two-year college students. Many Glen Oaks students choose to participate in the school's campus-wide intramurals sports program. Additional on-campus entertainment includes school-sponsored social activities, performances by both student and visiting arts groups, and exhibitions from student visual artists.

Glen Oaks Community College also offers its students substantial support services including advising, personal counseling, financial aid counseling, and career advisement. The school's Occupational Student Success Program provides personal advisement and support for students who are single parents, displaced homemakers, non-traditional job trainees, or come from an economically disadvantaged background. To help new grads land their first post-college job, Glen Oaks Community College hosts job fairs and provides job search support free of charge. Glen Oaks Community College also provides specialized reinforcement English as a Second Language classes for students as well as remedial courses for students preparing to enter college. For high school students looking to get a jump on their college curriculum, the school offers an extensive dual enrollment program worth both high school and college credit.
