Lake City Community College is located midway between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico, the region commonly referred to at Florida's Crown. Lake City Community College's district spans five counties in northern Florida and covers 2,683 square miles -- an area twice the size of Rhode Island. While many students from surrounding communities attend Lake City Community College, there are other students who commute up to 50 miles one way to attend classes. Lake City Community College offers academic excellence that is second to none. Throughout the world, the Golf and Landscape Operations program at Lake City Community College is recognized as one of the finest. Two other outstanding programs that draw students from across the state and around the globe are the Allied Health program and Forest Technology program.
