Metropolitan Community College focuses primarily on career preparation and general education through its many educational offerings. In fact, Metropolitan Community College offers over 100 one- and two-year programs in a variety of disciplines such as business administration, culinary arts, nursing and allied health, and many others. Other important aspects of MCC's service to the community include general support courses, continuing education classes, and business/industry training opportunities. A recent study noted that the economic impact that Metropolitan Community College has on the community is substantial. For instance, 97 percent of employed Metro Community College graduates remain in Nebraska to work. And 64 percent of MCC graduates work in training-related jobs.
