As a public institution, Mount Wachusett Community College is devoted to providing students with education that they need in order to transfer into traditional four-year colleges and universities. This community college also strives to give career-minded students the proper preparation for entering their field of choice. In order to meet these goals, Mount Wachusett Community College offers more than 40 associate degree and certificate programs at its main campus in Gardner and satellite locations in Leominster, Fitchburg, and Devens.
Associate degrees may be attained in fields such as automotive technology, computer graphic design, business administration, physical therapy, medical assisting, and paralegal studies. Certificate programs are available for many of the same subjects as well as for professions such as computer service technician, massage therapist, and human service technician. Depending on the program, students may be able to attend classes on-campus or online, and during the day or night.
Online courses are not limited to subjects such as web graphics, programming, and digital photography; many traditional college courses -- like literature, history, psychology, and law classes -- are also available to students.
