Located in Chanute, Kansas, Neosho County Community College is a two-year institution of learning that has been dedicated to providing members of the community with the academic and career programs that they need to succeed since its founding in 1936. From certificate programs that are geared towards students who want a jumpstart on their career -- or greater promotion to potential -- to transfer programs that have designed to help students make the move to a traditional four-year college or university.

When Neosho County Community College first opened its doors, only 192 students were enrolled. Today the school has grown to serve almost 2,000 students every term. Despite the large size of the student body, this Kansas college still manages to boast an average class size of 20 and a student to faculty ratio of 16:1. These small class sizes afford for students to receive the individual and personalized attention that they need to excel in the learning environment and later in life.

Students at Neosho County Community College can participate in such athletics as baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, softball, track, and wrestling. The school is home to nearly 20 intercollegiate athletic teams.

Ninety-six percent of the faculty at this Kansas college holds a master's degree or higher.
