Focusing primarily on liberal arts courses designed to help students transfer to a four-year institution, Northwest Arkansas Community College offers courses ranging from Art and Graphic Design to Music. Academically gifted students who enroll in the school's Honors Program will also have the opportunity to take specialized honors courses, compete for honors-only scholarships, complete a cultural diversity project, and participate in honors travel-study courses. Last year's Honors travel-study course was a nine-day excursion to Washington D.C. to observe U.S. history in the making. Through partnerships with local businesses and non-profit agencies, all Northwest Arkansas students have the opportunity to put their in-class knowledge to work in the real world. Northwest Arkansas Community College's service-learning program provides students with community-based volunteer projects that supplement in-class work.
Northwest Arkansas Community College's Regional Technology Center allows high school students to get ahead in their career by enrolling in technical certification programs before they turn the tassel. Students who enroll earn credit on both the high school and college level simultaneously.
After class is over, learning continues on this campus. Northwest Arkansas Community College hosts a number of student-led clubs that range from religious organizations to performing arts groups. Throughout the year, this campus provides several on-campus arts and cultural events. Performances for 2007 include a Northwest Arkansas Community College Drama Department presentation of Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing" and a performance of nine award-winning one-act plays.
To ensure student success, Northwest Arkansas Community College offers a college transition course for incoming first-year students as well as academic support services for all students including academic advising, career counseling, tutoring services, transfer advising, on-campus computer labs, placement testing, and a virtual career center to help you find your first post-grad job. The on-campus Learning Development Center also provides special services for physically disabled students, veteran support services, and personal counseling.

Every Tuesday throughout the school year Northwest Arkansas Community College offers low-cost soft skills training workshops in subjects such as customer service, teamwork, communication, and workplace ethics.
This year Northwest Arkansas Community College's Franklin University campus will add two news online bachelor's degree programs in Marketing and Human Resources Management.
In addition to day and evening courses, Northwest Arkansas Community College students can also complete their Associate of the Arts degree online.
Northwest Arkansas Community College also operates a senior outreach center located in Bella Vista, Arkansas. Featuring workshops in areas like yoga, pottery, and genealogy, the center focuses on providing low-cost personal development courses for older adult learners.
