Set in Blythe, California, Palo Verde Community College provides transfer and vocational programs of study to students from the California area. Whether you're searching for an associate degree program, a professional certificate, or simply a couple of non-credited personal enrichment classes, Pale Verde is the perfect place to begin your education. The school is divided into four distinct campuses. The Needles Campus specializes in liberal arts programs designed to help students transition into a four-year school, the Non-Credit Campus provides continuing education and personal development courses without the stress of grades, the Nursing and Allied Health Campus provides vocational programs in the health care fields, and the Tech Prep Campus provides technical programs to both Palo Verde Community College students and local high school students. In addition to brick-and-mortar courses, Palo Verde students may also opt for the school's online learning program. The school offered three online courses this past Spring in the fields of basic math, composition, and general chemistry.
Palo Verde Community College provides strong support services for its students as well. All students have academic advising, financial aid counseling, personal counseling, and disability services. The school's Extended Opportunities Program aims to help students who have had previously unsuccessful education experiences graduate and continue their education at a four-year institution. EOP students receive additional financial assistance, peer tutoring, career counseling, translation services, transfer assistance, and access to student success seminars. Students at Palo Verde Community College who financially qualify may also be eligible for additional support services including funds for child care, transportation, textbook, and other services.
Palo Verde Community College also supports a strong student activities program which includes a student government association and several student-led clubs. Organizations of interest on campus include the school's debate club, the astronomy club, and the campus chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honors society for two-year college students.
