Snead State offers on-campus and online courses at the Boaz campus, the Arab Instructional Site, or the Blount County Instructional Site. The College has a dual enrollment program that allows high school students to take courses that will apply toward their high school diploma while also earning college credit.
Unlike typical two-years institutions, Snead State Community College offers its students on-campus residence halls, as well as academic and career advisors to help you on your educational journey. The College offers a variety of student organizations and clubs and a very active campus life.
Snead State's athletic programs include men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball, women's softball, men's baseball, and women's tennis. Auxiliary programs such as cheerleading and dance team are also available, in addition to music programs, such as the Jazz Band and College Street Singers. The College offers a theatre program and a student-led online publication.

- Snead State Community College has continued to have a record enrollment growth with an eight percent increase from Fall 2008 to Fall 2009
- The College has implemented a Campus Master Plan, which includes the renovation of the museum to become a classroom building to house the Social Sciences Division.
- The Nursing Program received its accreditation from the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
- The tennis team has won back-to-back Conference Championships in 2008 and 2009.
- The volleyball program was reinstated in 2008, and the team placed fourth in the state in 2009.
