ECPI College of Technology: CollegeSurfing.com Featured School of the Week -- April 28, 2008
by Genevieve M. Blaber
Computer jargon, fast typing, and people working feverishly to complete their final line of program code -- sound like what you'd see at an office or IT center? You're not far off. It sounds like a typical day at

ECPI College of Technology

 .

Boasting campuses in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia, ECPI College of Technology offers students the opportunity to train in a variety of technology and business disciplines. In addition to being accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, the technical college's approval and/or accreditation by each of the states in which it operates allows students to earn a diploma, certification, associate degree, and/or bachelor's degree in their fields of choice. While certificate programs and associate degree programs can be used to enhance your current job skills and/or land an entry-level position in a field, bachelor's degree programs will help students improve their potential for promotion, significantly.

Although exact offerings will vary by location and degree-level, ECPI College of Technology programs run the gamut from business courses in fields like accounting administration, business systems administration, and criminal justice, to technology networking courses like wireless communications, computer electronics engineering technology, and information systems. This technical college also offers more artistically inclined students the option of pursuing a degree in web design or simulation and game programming.

No matter which program you choose, or what campus you attend, ECPI College of Technology promises the same quality and options in education: small classes, qualified faculty, and flexible scheduling thanks to day and evening courses. As for students who have a hard time fitting in or making the trip to one of ECPI College of Technology's nine campuses, there is another option: online learning. Currently, eight different associate and bachelor's degree programs are offered through the ECPI Online program, enabling students to study anything from business administration to computer electronics engineering technology from the comfort of their own homes.

ECPI College of Technology won't leave you hanging with just a degree, either. This technical college's career Services department is devoted to giving students the personal skills and advice that they need to land the job they want. Career development workshops and advisors help students with such skills as writing resumes, being interviews, and negotiating salaries, and career fairs and externships give students the opportunity to meet prospective employers face-to-face and demonstrate what they have to offer. ECPI College of Technology also offers general education courses that will aid students in developing their communication, computer, and job skills.

If you think that you can benefit from programs that will get your foot in an employer's door, visit ECPI College of Technology to request more information.
