Eastwick Colleges
by Genevieve M. Blaber
As employers seek out applicants with the right training and resume, it's little wonder that more and more prospective employees are looking to build their credentials with help from a career college. Whether they are recent high school graduates or adults considering a change in career, students at career schools find the preparation and certification they need in order to be taken seriously in the real world.
Graduates of Eastwick Colleges are already familiar with the benefits of a career college education. Comprised of five separate schools located throughout the state of New Jersey, Eastwick Colleges has boasted a 90 percent job placement rate for graduates for the past 20 years. And thanks to full job placement services on every campus, graduating students can count on career assistance no matter school or program they enroll in.
There's no shortage of classes or courses to choose from, either. "We're spread across the whole horizon," explains Thomas M. Eastwick, the president of Eastwick Colleges. "Any program that has easy access into progress is what we offer."
With a dedication to promising career programs, and the shared HoHoKus School name, each of Eastwick Colleges' schools gives students the opportunities that they need to train and excel throughout a wide spectrum of fields. For example, while the HoHoKus School at Bergen Regional Medical Center offers a certified nurse aide+ program, the HoHoKus School of Business, Medical, and Technical Sciences in Rets-Nutley, NJ offers computer, technology, and healthcare programs. The HoHoKus School of Trade and Technical Sciences in Paterson, NJ, meanwhile, focuses on training programs in fields like plumbing, welding, and manufacturing technology. And at the HoHoKus Schools of Business and Medical Sciences in Ramsey and Hackensack, NJ, students will find a variety of programs devoted to office- and healthcare-related professions. Though exact programs differ between each of the schools -- the Ramsey campus offers a surgical technology program, while the Hackensack location offers pharmacy technician training, for example -- students at each of Eastwick College's locations can be assured of the same quality in education.
"We are very conscious of our reputation and the teachers we use," attests Eastwick. "I think that most students who attend one of these campuses understand that they go to school at a serious career college."
Students of Eastwick Colleges can also be assured of serious personal attention. With an average of 10 to 12 student per teacher in a lab setting, Eastwick promises, "We never place more than 30 students in a lecture class." And though the average age of the student body is over 30, students as young as 19 can be seen walking the halls; that's because what Eastwick Colleges is really looking for is students who are ready to make a commitment. With each career program culminating in either a certification or professional recognition, Eastwick Colleges wants every student to understand the importance of success and making the most of one's time.
