Perhaps the most famous parts of Louisiana include New Orleans' French Quarter, Mardi Gras, jazz music, and cajun living. But beyond the nightlife, great music, and delicious food, students who attend Louisiana colleges and universities will take note of the state's Spanish style architecture, national parks, and American history. Although Louisiana is known for its music, The Ogden Museum of Southern Art puts on display the contributions and collections of visual art and culture of the American South, while the Sci-Port Discovery Center in Shreveport is a fun place for science majors to explore.
