Not only does the state have amazing deserts and mountains, it's also well-known for is various ski resorts. The five most populated cities in the state -- which offer a variety of colleges, universities, and career schools to choose from -- are: Salt Lake City, West Valley City, Provo, West Jordan, and Sandy.

Thanks to Utah's unique desert topography, it's been used as a film location for many productions over the years. Monument Valley, located in the southeastern portion of the state, was especially popular when it came to the Western film genre. Many contemporary movies have also been shot in Utah, including High School Musical, High School Musical 2, High School Musical 3, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Galaxy Quest, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.
